This method is quicker than holding aim and shooting but also more accurate than firing from the hip. Quick scoping is simple, as opposed to aiming and then shooting, you simply look at the general area in which you want to shoot (usually somebody's head is a good bet) and then tap aim and shoot. Two things very much boasted about in the world of FPS's but something that isn't all that difficult. Also if you are brand new, play the campaign first as it give you the opportunity to try things out without anyone watching. If you take the time to learn when you're new to the game then you can improve as you level up. No one expects you to be perfect straight away so, don't worry if you crash into a building a couple of times or end up spinning in circles upside down. Ok, so you might not want to do it in a proper match so set up a server and take the time to get the hang of flying, shooting, driving and all of the fiddly bits in between. I know this might sound obvious but try things out! Get in the chopper and practise. If you know where they are, sneak around them from behind, creep up and turn them over the last thing they will see is your grinning face as you end their reign of camping terror with a knife to the throat. We all know they like to lie down and crouch in the most annoying spots to cause havoc amongst your team, so the solution is simple. If you run around a corner and some unsuspecting soul is firing away at your teammates, why give away your position and waste your ammo? When instead you could collect yourself some shiny new dogtags? It is also the perfect tool against snipers and campers. Your knife (or associated choice of blade-like death) is a ruthless tool far too many people forget about. Then when he's dead on the ground cursing your brilliance, you can switch back to your primary weapon, reload and carry on. So when you see your ammo counter go down to zero and you think "I'd better reload!", instead think of the little guy, whip him out and finish your opponent off. Don't forget him, he's a nice guy and can help you out of many a sticky situation. Instead your pistol or other secondary weapon is there for a reason. Unless you can find cover to do so, or your opponent has terrible aim, try not to reload in a firefight if you can help it. Choose your position wisely though, somewhere where you can see an objective or a place where the enemy team frequents is perfect, then wait, wait and wait some more, aim and boom headshot. However on your larger conquest maps a sniper can cause so many problems for the enemy team. Generally on close quarter's maps, unless you can get an amazing vantage point over an objective, snipers aren't as useful as the close and mid-range weapons. It is advisable to practise with a sniper first to get used to the range and where you need to aim in order to get that all important and self-satisfying headshot we all desire. Long range, the obvious choice is a sniper rifle or a DMR. Just make sure team damage isn't on, otherwise people might not be too happy. One man with a shotgun can't take on a large group alone, but with the constant spray of machine gun bullets ripping through their ranks what can they do? Or with regards to AoE, RPGs and grenade launchers are perfect for shattering the enemy team when they're grouped up tight. For example assault rifles, PDWs and LMGs, although they may be the most generic weapons of choice they're also the tide turners in a team fight. If mid-range/large spread damage is more your thing you should look into rapid firing weapons or weapons that do a large amount of AoE damage. If you like getting up close and personal in the midst of the chaos then the best choice for you is a short range, high-damage weapon like a shotgun (just don't use frag rounds when someone is in your face - they hurt!) Choose the right gun to suit your play style. Are you new to the Battlefield series or just to Battlefield 4?
